- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- sugar to taste
Directions

1Braise 1 pound chuck roast (cubed).

2Add the chopped onion and celery.

3Add 2 cups water.

4Slowly cook over medium heat for approximately 2 hours.

5Add the chopped cabbage.

6Add the tomatoes; cook for 1 hour.

7Add the salt and sugar.
