  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
  • 4 lb. Unpeeled large fresh shrimp
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Seafood seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dried thyme
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Minced fresh parsley

Directions

    Bring water and lemon to a boil; add shrimp and cook 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.

    Drain well; rinse with cold water. Chill. Peel and de-vein shrimp.

    Place shrimp in a large heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bag.

    Combine vegetable oil and remaining ingredients; stir well and pour over shrimp.

    Seal bag; marinate in refrigerator for 8 hours.
