Ingredients
- 2 lb. beef, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 tsp. m.s.g.
- 1/2 c. stuffed olives
- 1 medium green pepper, seeds removed, cut into 1-inch squares
- 3 Tbsp. sherry or vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 lb. pepperoni, sliced 1/4-inch thick diagonally
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Season meat with soy sauce, sherry or vinegar and salt.

2Set aside.

3In hot oil, brown garlic, add onions and cook until transparent.

4Add tomato sauce and beef.

5Stir 2 minutes, reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.

6Add about 2 cups water; simmer, covered, for 45 minutes or until meat is tender. Add pepperoni, potatoes, m.s.g. and pepper.

7Simmer 7 minutes or until potatoes are soft.

8Taste.

9Add olives and green pepper. Cook for 3 minutes or more.

10Serves 6 to 8.
