- 12 cup onion, chopped (I used 1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes.)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup cheese, 4 oz. shredded (recipe called for Smokey Sharp cheese)
- 34 cup milk
- 12 ounces potatoes (1 pkg. frozen shredded hash brown potatoes)
Directions

1Saute onions in butter or margarine.

2Place in a shallow 1 quart baking dish or small skillet, brushed with butter.

3Add flour, salt and pepper.

4Mix well.

5Add cheese.

6Pour milk over cheese.

7Top with frozen potatoes; cover.

8Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes, or until potatoes are completely thawed; mix well.

9Return to oven, uncovered, and bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
