- 1 c. fruit
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Use canned, preserved or freshly cooked fruit.

2Drain thoroughly.

3Combine sugar and water.

4Boil to soft ball stage. Add fruit and simmer until clear.

5Allow to stand in syrup overnight.

6Drain thoroughly.

7Roll in granulated sugar.

8Place on cake rack. Dry in very slow oven until surface is firm.

9Peaches, apples, prunes, figs, quinces, citron, plums, cherries and apricots may be used.

10Dried fruits as well as fresh fruits may be prepared and candied.
