- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- violets
Directions

1Make a syrup by stirring water into sugar in small saucepan.

2Boil till slightly thickened; stir in almond extract.

3Let syrup cool a little.

4Place the violets, a few at a time into syrup. Make sure that they are completely covered.

5Remove from syrup and place on wax paper to dry.

6Note: Do NOT use African violets!
