- 14 cup granulated sugar
- 14 cup water
- 18 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 24 walnut halves
Directions

1In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water and lemon juice.

2Over high heat, bring the mixture to a boil and cook, without stirring, until it turns a golden amber color - about 3 to 4 minutes.

3Remove from the heat.

4Add the walnuts - stir the walnuts with a wooden spoon to completely coat them in the mixture.

5Using a fork, carefully move out the nuts, one at a time, to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6While working quickly, try to let any excess caramel drip off the walnuts.

7Let the walnuts sit on the parchment for about 5 minutes to harden.
