  • 6 cups baking apples, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 9-inch pie crust, double crust
  • 2 tbsp. butter

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup pecans

    In a large bowl, toss apples with lime juice.

    Combine dry ingredients; add to the apples and toss lightly.

    Place bottom pastry in a 9-inch pie plate; fill with apple mixture.

    Dot with butter.

    Bake at 400F for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and apples are tender.
