- 1/2 pt. white Karo syrup
- red food coloring (enough to color well)

1Use a large pot.

2Mix sugar, coloring and syrup with water; enough water to dissolve sugar.

3Use thermometer.

4Let candy cook until thermometer reaches 275°.

5Using skewers or sticks, dip apples into candy on low heat.

6Use margarine on tabletop or countertop.

7Place apples down with skewers up, let them cool. Wrap with wax paper or Saran Wrap.
