Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. nuts of your choice
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. hot water

Directions

    Place syrup, sugar, margarine, salt and water in two-quart pot.

    Cook over low to medium heat to 300° (hard crack stage). Stir in nuts, add baking soda in hot water to hot syrup and stir well.

    Pour hot syrup and nuts over popped corn in large greased pan.

    Mix syrup and corn rapidly.

    Spread thinly on cookie sheets or wax paper and let cool.

    Store in closed container.
