  • slivered almonds
  • water to cover
  • few drops green food coloring
  • 2 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. coconut
  • 1 c. ground nuts

Directions

    Combine almonds, water and food coloring; let stand.
  2. 2
    Combine gelatin, milk, coconut and nuts.

    Mix well; shape candies to look like strawberries.

    Dip top of candy in green sugar crystals (or use tube icing).

    Roll bottom in red sugar crystals.
  6. 6
    Insert green slivered almond in top to form stem.
