- 1/2 gal. pole beans, snapped
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a large pot, then cover with water. Boil, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours.

2Add hot water as needed.

3Do not let them boil dry.

4When done, pour into jars.

5Water from pot should cover beans in jars.

6Seal with lid and let cool.

7When ready to eat, rinse beans well under cold tap water.

8Place in iron pot with seasoned meat and cover with water.

9Cook on low heat with lid until almost dry.
