Cannon Balls(Popcorn)

Ingredients

  • about 1 1/2 c. corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar (half dark and half light)
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Pop corn in Crisco, about a dishpan full.

    Boil the sugar, molasses and water until reaches hard crack stage (when dropped into ice water).

    Takes about 20 minutes stove time and about 12 minutes hard boiling time.

    Pour over popped corn, and with greased hands form into balls.

    Wrap in waxed paper.
  6. 6
    Makes about 16 medium-size balls.
