Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 red pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced chestnuts, drained
  • 4 green onions, sliced diagonally into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 c. Minute rice

Directions

    Brown beef in oil in large skillet about 5 minutes.

    Combine water, gravy mix, soy sauce and ginger.

    Add red pepper, water chestnuts and green onions.

    Bring to full boil.

    Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat.

    Let stand 5 minutes.

    Fluff with fork. Makes 4 servings.
