- 2 c. flour (sifted)
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 stick plus 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 3/4 to 1 c. milk
Directions

1Sift flour and measure 2 cups; add salt and baking powder and sift again.

2Cut in margarine until fine mixture.

3Gradually add milk to make a soft dough.

4Flour wax paper or dough board.

5Pour soft dough onto floured paper or dough board and knead several times then firmly pat out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with floured cutter.

6Makes 12 to 18 biscuits depending on thickness.

7Bake in preheated 450° oven for 12 minutes.
