- 1 qt. clams (with liquor)
- 1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
- 2 qt. water
- 5 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Discard tough part of clam stomach and neck.

2Chop remaining part.

3Fry salt pork and remove pork.

4Add water, clam liquor, potatoes and onion to fat. Cook 15 minutes.

5Add clams. Cook until clams and potatoes are tender.

6Add milk and butter.

7Heat through, but do not boil.

8Add salt pork and season to taste. Canned clams and broth may be used in this recipe.

9Makes 8 servings.
