  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. chopped apples
  • 1 c. pecans or walnuts

    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time; beat well after each egg.
