- 30 vanilla caramels or caramel sundae topping
- 4 c. peeled and sliced apples
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. almonds or walnuts
Directions

1Melt approximately 30 vanilla caramels over a double boiler or use one jar of caramel sundae topping.

2Pour over apples and place mixture in an unbaked 4-inch shell.

3Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon.

4Cut in butter or margarine until mixture is crumbly. Add almonds or walnuts if desired and sprinkle mixture over pie. Bake at 375° for 55 to 60 minutes.
