  • 1/2 cups Butter, Cubed
  • 2 cups Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 10 To 12 Popsicle Sticks Or Skewers
  • 10 To 12 Medium Tart Apples
  • Decorative Sprinkles, If Desired

    In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter; add brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt.

    Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil, about 10-12 minutes.

    Stir in sweetened condensed milk.

    Cook and stir until candy thermometer reads 248 degrees F. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

    Insert sticks into apples.

    Dip each apple into hot caramel mixture; turn to coat.
