  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 7 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange liqueur (Triple Sec, Cointreau, Grand Marnier)
  • 4 bananas, sliced in half lengthwise

Directions

    In a pan, melt the butter, add the sugar, stir to combine and simmer for 3 minute.

    Add the lemon and liqueur and stir gently.

    Put the bananas in the sauce and simmer for 5 min, or until the sauce thickens.

    Occasionally spoon the sauce over the bananas to baste them.

    Serve with vanilla ice cream or waffles and whipped cream (optional).
