- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1 1/2 sticks melted margarine
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk (for caramel mixture)
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk (for cake mix)
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels and evaporated milk and set aside.

2Mix cake mix, margarine, evaporated milk and nuts.

3Press half of mixture in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Take from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.

5Pour on melted caramels.

6Crumble the other half of dough mixture on top. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.
