  • 6 slices bread, day-old, cut into 1/2 inch cubes (about 7 cups)
  • 1 cup water, hot
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups milk, warm
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions
