  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. white syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. hot milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • nuts to taste

Directions

    Put 1 cup sugar in pan over low heat until sugar melts.

    Add hot milk, remaining sugar and corn syrup.

    Cook until mixture reaches 238° (soft ball stage).

    Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and nuts.

    Beat until mixture is thick, but still shiny. Drop by spoonful onto wax paper.
