- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 10 oz. light caramels
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. evaporated milk
- 3/4 c. margarine, melted
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt evaporated milk and caramels.

2Set aside.

3Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon evaporated milk and melted margarine. Spread slightly more than 1/2 of mixture into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

4Bake 6 minutes at 350°.

5Sprinkle on chocolate chips and nuts.

6Spread caramel mixture over this. Crumble rest of cake mixture on top.

7Bake until sides pull away from pan, approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
