- 2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 qt. popped popping corn
Directions

1In saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt.

2Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

3Bring to hard ball stage, 260°.

4Remove from heat; stir in baking soda, stirring quickly.

5Pour over freshly popped corn in large pan.

6Bake 1 hour at 200°.

7Stir occasionally.

8Turn onto waxed paper and break apart.
