  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 6 qt. popcorn, popped
  • 1 c. pecans (optional)

    Melt

    add sugar, syrup

    Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.

    Let boil over low heat 5 minutes; do not stir.

    Remove from heat;

    add soda and flavoring. Stir real good;

    this will be foamy.

    Pour over corn and mix real good.

    250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and break apart.
