Caramel Corn

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 7 qt. popped popcorn

Directions

    Combine sugar, syrup, oleo and salt in a large saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda; it will get frothy.

    Pour over popcorn and mix.

    Put on 2 cookie sheets. Bake in a 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
