- 2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. margarine
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
- 6 qt. popped corn
Directions

1In a large saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients.

2Bring to a boil; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat and add the baking soda and nuts.

4Beat down and pour over the popcorn in a large mixing pan.

5Stir until all corn is coated.

6Place corn on greased cookie sheets.

7Bake 1 hour in a 200° oven.

8Cool on pan, then break into pieces.
