Caramel Corn

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup (Karo)
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 6 qt. popcorn (measurement is after being popped)

Directions

    Mix brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves.

    Add baking soda and stir.

    Pour mixture over popcorn and stir well.

    Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 200° for 1 hour.

    Stir around, to cover well, every 15 minutes. Let cool and break apart.
