Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 3 to 5 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Bring sugar, margarine, syrup and salt to a boil.

    Boil 2 minutes on High in microwave oven.

    Remove from oven and stir in soda.

    Put popcorn in a large brown bag.

    Pour syrup over popcorn. Fold top of bag and place in microwave on High for 4 to 4 1/2 minutes.

    Remove bag from oven every 45 to 50 seconds and shake. Spread caramel coated corn on waxed paper to cool.

    Store tightly covered.
