- 1 1/2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 qt. freshly popped popcorn
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.

2Boil for 5 more minutes.

3Take off heat and quickly add vanilla and baking soda.

4Fold in popped corn, mixing well.

5Bake on cookie sheet for 30 to 40 minutes at 250° , stirring every 10 minutes.

6Cool.
