- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. Karo white syrup
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 2 1/2 qt. popped corn (approximately 16 c.)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Cook first 3 ingredients over heat until it reaches the hard ball stage on a candy thermometer.

2Remove from heat and beat in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

3Pour mixture over corn and mix well. Bake at 225° for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
