Caramel Corn (Baked)

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 6 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Melt butter.

    Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

    Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in soda and vanilla.

    Pour over popped corn, mixing well. Turn into 2 large shallow baking pans or cookie sheets.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Stir, let cool. Stir again so it doesn't stick in big chunks.
