  • 2 cups all purpose flour Pillsbury's Best
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup almond paste
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • sugar to sprinkle

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350. In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except granulated sugar. Blend well.

    Roll out, half at a time, on floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

    Sprinkle with granulated sugar.

    Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool before removing from cookie sheets.
