- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine ingredients and boil until mixture forms a good, firm ball in cold water.

2Add about 2 tablespoons of butter when removed from heat.

3Let cool, then beat until its too firm to spread on cake.

4Add a little milk or cream to mixture and icing will remain smooth.

5This icing never gets hard.
