- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix 2 cups of sugar, flour, egg yolks and cream in large boiler.

2Melt 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy iron skillet.

3Start both at the same time.

4Stirring constantly, melt sugar to a light brown. Mix with milk and sugar mixture.

5Cook until it forms a soft ball in water.

6Use cold water to test.

7Stir until cool enough to spread on cake.
