- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 stick margarine
Directions

1Stir sugar and milk; bring to a boil.

2Melt 1/2 cup sugar; while hot, stir melted sugar in milk and sugar while both are boiling.

3Stir in margarine.

4Cook to a soft ball stage (drop some drops of icing into a small bowl with cold water to test it). This is enough to icing a 2 layer cake.
