  • 14 oz. pkg. caramels
  • 1/3 c. canned milk
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. canned milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt and set aside caramels and 1/3 cup canned milk.

    Mix by hand the cake mix, margarine, 1/3 cup canned milk and nuts.

    Press 1/2 dough in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

    Remove from oven; sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread caramels over chips.

    Top with remaining dough.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.

    Cool.

    Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
