- 14 oz. pkg. caramels
- 1/3 c. canned milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1/3 c. canned milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt and set aside caramels and 1/3 cup canned milk.

2Mix by hand the cake mix, margarine, 1/3 cup canned milk and nuts.

3Press 1/2 dough in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

5Remove from oven; sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread caramels over chips.

6Top with remaining dough.

7Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes.

8Cool.

9Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
