- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 heaping Tbsp. flour
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 baked crust
Directions

1Caramelize sugar until brown; dissolve with boiling water. Add milk and let boil.

2Combine brown sugar, flour and beaten egg yolk.

3Thin with milk or water and add to boiling mixture.

4Cook until thick, add a small lump of butter and flavoring.

5Pour into baked shell.

6Beat egg whites and cold water until it peaks.

7Fold in sugar and pour on pie filling.

8Brown in oven.
