- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Directions

1Beat egg yolks; add 1 cup sugar, cornstarch, milk, salt and vanilla.

2Heat to almost boiling, then add 3/4 cup sugar which has been caramelized.

3Beat egg whites, adding 6 tablespoons sugar. Place mixture in baked pie crust, then add meringue.

4Bake in 350° oven until brown.
