- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 baked pie shell
- Cool Whip or whipped cream
Directions

1Combine butter, flour and sugar together.

2Beat egg; add milk. Add to creamed mixture.

3Cook in top of double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly.

4Cool; add vanilla.

5Pour into baked pastry shell and chill.

6Makes one (9-inch) pie; spread with whipped topping.
