Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. white syrup
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 qt. popped corn (unseasoned)

Directions

    Mix sugar, syrup and margarine.

    Bring to a full boil and boil 4 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.

    Stir well.

    Have popcorn popped in advance.

    Pour caramel over the corn that is in a large brown paper bag.

    Shake and stir well.

    Put in microwave and cook for 1 minute.

    Take out and shake.

    Repeat this 3 times for a total of 4 minutes in the microwave.

    Pour on a cookie sheet to cool.
