- 3 quarts popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions

1Place popcorn in paper bag, set aside. Place butter in 1 1/2 quart dish. Microwave at high for 1 minute or until melted. Stir in sugar, syrup, and salt; cover and microwave at high for 4 minutes. Remove from oven, stir in soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn; stir until all is coated and no sugar mixture remains in bottom of dish.

2Cook popcorn on high for 3 minutes, stirring well after each minute. Remove from oven, stir well. Spread on buttered 15x10 inch pan; cool. Break into pieces and store in airtight container. Yield: about 11 cups.
