- 5 to 6 qt. popped corn
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In heavy saucepan, bring to a boil the oleo, sugar and Karo syrup.

2Boil for 5 to 6 minutes.

3Remove from heat; add the soda and vanilla.

4Mixture will foam up.

5In large pan, pour mixture over popped corn.

6One cup pecans or peanuts can be added, if you wish.

7Stir until kernels of corn are well coated.

8Bake 1 hour at 250°.

9Stir every 15 minutes.

10Pour on newspaper to cool.

11Store in a tight jar.
