- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 6 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt the margarine in a large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring 5 minutes.

2Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn in 2 large shallow baking pans.

3Mix well. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool completely. Break apart and store in tightly covered container.
