- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3 qt. salted popped corn
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. mixed salted nuts
Directions

1In a large, heavy saucepan, combine the butter or margarine, corn syrup and sugar.

2Stir until blended.

3Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

4Clip a candy thermometer on the side of the pan.

5Continue simmering slowly until the syrup reaches the hard crack stage (300° to 310°).
