Caramel Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 sticks butter or margarine
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 oz. pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
- 3 c. cake flour
Directions

1Preheat oven at 350°.

2Grease and flour large pound cake pan. Blend softened butter, Philadelphia cream cheese, vanilla and sugar.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Next, add sifted flour with salt.

5Mix at medium speed until well blended.

6If mix becomes too thick, you can add milk, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is obtained.

7Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.

8Sometimes what I'll do at the end of the scheduled baking time, if the cake still isn't done, reduce the heat to 325° and continue to bake until done.

9Allow to cool about 10 minutes before you remove cake from pan.
