- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring cream to boil; set aside.

2Bring sugar and water to boil.

3With a pastry brush dipped in cold water, make a line around the inside of the saucepan just above the boiling mixture. Cook over high heat until mixture is golden brown.

4Remove from heat and let cool a bit.

5Add cream to mixture.

6Bring to boil and cook over low heat 2 to 3 minutes.

7Add vanilla.

8Makes 3 cups.
