- 144 small pecan halves (about 1 c.)
- 36 light caramels
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted in top of double boiler
Directions

1Grease cookie sheet.

2On it arrange pecans flat side down into groups of 4.

3Place 1 caramel on each cluster of pecans.

4Heat in slow oven (325°) until caramels soften, about 4 to 8 minutes. Watch carefully.

5Remove from oven.

6With buttered spatula, flatten caramels over pecans.

7Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to waxed paper.

8Swirl melted chocolate on top.

9Makes 36 Snappers.
