  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 purchased 7-inch angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 c. finely chopped pecans

    In saucepan, combine butter and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

    Bring to boil and cook until syrup reaches soft ball stage (234° to 240°).

    Remove from heat.

    Using tongs, dip cake cubes in syrup; roll in pecans.

    Place on waxed paper to cool.
